The enamel of the tooth is one of the hardest parts of the body. The enamel helps protect the teeth from changes in temperature, sugary foods and beverages, and certain kinds of acids. When the enamel is compromised, it leaves your teeth more prone to developing cavities, tooth sensitivity, toothaches, discoloration, and fractures. In some extreme cases, tooth enamel erosion can even lead to tooth loss. It is important to take proper care of your enamel because once the enamel is damaged, it can not regenerate. Only an experienced dentist will be able to offer service to help improve the aesthetic and health of your smile once it has been damaged.
